I. Background
The Eighth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum had been held in Beijing, China on 10th July, 2018. As one of the outcome documents, the “the Execution Plan 2018-2020 of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum” had been adopted by the Forum. The Action Plan has indicated that “both sides continue to push forward the organization of the Second China-Arab States Health Cooperation Forum in Beijing in 2019”.
In order to implement the Action Plan, to consolidate the health cooperation between China and Arab States, to promote the building of community with a shared future for humanity, and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of UN, the National Health Commission of China and the League of Arab States will co-host the Second China-Arab States Health Cooperation Forum in Beijing in 2019.

III. Potential Outcomes
The potential outcomes of the Second China-Arab States Health Cooperation Forum includes:
1. Launch of China-Arab States Health Cooperation 2019 Beijing Initiative. The initiative will promote the concept of community with a shared future for humanity, review China-Arab States health cooperation, and define the priorities for the future cooperation between China and China-Arab States.
2. Signing Agreements. Several agreements are expected to be signed to facilitate China-Arab States health cooperation.
3. Visiting the China-Hospeq 2019 Health Industry Expo. Health related enterprises, research institutions and academic organizations from both China and Arab States are welcomed to join the Expo. for showcase exhibition and exploring the cooperation opportunities.
IV. time & venue
TIME: 16th -18th August, 2019
venue: the forum on 16 August 2019 will be held China National Convention Center, Beijing. The field trip on 17th -18th August 2019 will be organized in different cities and provinces of China.
V. Participants
The forum is expected to convene about 180 participants, including:
1. Arab States delegates:
a) high-level officials from the health authority of the Arab States;
b) guest speakers, representatives and experts from international organizations, NGOs and that of national health institutes, hospitals and traditional medicine organizations of Arab States;
c) representatives of international organizations and experts of international think tanks, such as World Health Organization;
d) representatives of Arab States Embassies in China,
2. Chinese delegates:
a) representatives from the National Health Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China International Development and Cooperation Agency and other related Chinese Authorities;
b) representatives which have already established a close working relationship with Arab States;
c) representatives from health industry and pharmaceuticals.

VII. Languages
Chinese, Arabic and English simultaneous interpretation will be provided for the Forum on 16th August 2019.
Chinese and English consecutive interpretation will be provide for the field trip on 17th -18th August 2019.
