The meeting, themed on" Deepen China-Arab States Health Cooperation, Jointly Build the Health Silk Road", is aimed to promote the concept of community with a shared future for humanity, review China-Arab States health cooperation, and define the priorities for the future cooperation between China and China-Arab States, and to explore opportunities for cooperation between the health related enterprises, research institutions and academic organizations from both China and Arab States.

The Eighth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum had been held in Beijing, China on 10^th July, 2018. As one of the outcome documents, the “the Execution Plan 2018-2020 of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum” had been adopted by the Forum. The Action Plan has indicated that “both sides continue to push forward the organization of the Second China-Arab States Health Cooperation Forum in Beijing in 2019”. 

In order to implement the Action Plan, to consolidate the health cooperation between China and Arab States, to promote the building of community with a shared future for humanity, and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of UN, the National Health Commission of China and the League of Arab States will co-host the Second China-Arab States Health Cooperation Forum in Beijing in 2019.
